Take part in a four-week innovation journey, working in small interdisciplinary teams and collaborating with local initiatives to explore challenges such as

Creating an impact in Laak
Laak is home to people from many different backgrounds and cultures, and to a growing network of community initiatives, residents, and organisations working to improve the environment and strengthen the community.
At the same time, the neighbourhood faces common urban challenges that impact residents’ lives, including energy affordability, access to healthy and sustainable food, climate resilience and the quality of public spaces.
Because of these needs and the strong network of local initiatives, Tech 4 Impact focuses its programmes in Laak. This is a neighbourhood where practical, tech-focused solutions can make a real, lasting impact.

Our goal is to connect international residents of The Hague with local initiatives, and to collaborate to address social and environmental challenges.
By bringing together community knowledge, technology, and creative thinking, Tech 4 Impact turns the neighbourhood into a living lab for inclusive urban innovation.

Jay Navarro Oviedo
Jay works on community-driven sustainability, social innovation and collaborative urban initiatives. His work focuses on bringing together community initiatives, institutions and innovators to create collaborations that lead to meaningful and lasting change.
At Tech 4 Impact he leads the social and environmental impact side of the programme. He connects participants with neighbourhood initiatives and helps teams understand the local context so that projects respond to real community needs.

Amel Caballero
Amel works at the intersection of technology, creativity, and social innovation. He believes technology is most powerful when it is developed alongside the people it is meant to serve.
At Tech 4 Impact he leads the technology and design side of the programme. He supports participants in translating ideas into tangible concepts and prototypes, and helps teams explore how digital tools and design methods can support real-world challenges.
